Existential Alternative

Trampled under blackened bloody feet

A bitter rain screams out from leaden skies;

Falling, drips like drool on ugly aching skin.

Ambition, pierce-ed by a rusty knife –

And how they pant with sweat repulsive smell

Yet, made weak, trudge still through sordid gardens.

Mad moaning eyeless sockets fearful stare

Not knowing life, besmirched by rusty chains

Is wasted midst an unseen desolation.

Incubate in place eternal vision;

Release is just one last fitful breath away

Peace lies free still, beneath cool lake of death

Leave fierce purple diamond winter’s pain

Soar, everlasting, into shining spring
