Days and Seasons

Travel around the world's larger cities and it becomes apparent that sadly they all are beginning to look the same, loosing their individuality. Get stuck in a rut at home and similarly it can seem as though every day is the same as the one before. This was the subject of my poem Today from the Time and Eternity selection.......serried ranks of sameness.....What we need, now more than ever, are the special days, the changes of seasons to act as temporal bookmarks in the passage of time. And no, I do not mean the Hallmark card-events that have taken over and made commercial so many of our personal remember-days, I mean the unique me-only moments, like when I took my daughter and her cousins from Europe for a San Francisco Day
